The first ever digital straight edge to align rail ends before welding
steddi enables the accurate and fast alignment of rail ends by replacing the manual 1m straight edge with the precision of four laser displacement sensors. During the entire alignment process, the large LED display on the top side of steddi indicates the measurements in the vertical and lateral direction for both rail ends simultaneously and instantaneously. The resolution is 0.1mm, and the values displayed are the same as those measured with a manual 1m straight edge.

Consulting, Supervision & Failure analysis
We provide 20 years of experience and expertise in aluminothermic welding of rails. This includes site supervision, failure and root cause analysis of broken welds, designing various jigs and tools for the weld execution, and developing aluminothermic welding procedures for vignol, grooved and crane rails.
Our engineers are familiar with national and international aluminothermic welding normative and have been members of various drafting groups for EN14730-1 and AS1085:20.
